The Power of 2 Words – “I AM

7 Nov

The power of “I am” is immense. Believing in , and loving ourselves, is one of the greatest powers we can have – and as unfortunate as it may be that it took me nearly 28 years to believe it, I am so grateful to believe in and love myself now.

The world was always a chaotic and unstable place for me, mostly because of the way I felt about myself. Sound familiar? Luckily it doesn’t have to be this way. Once we change our thoughts (about ourselves, and the way we see the world) our lives begin to follow – our attitude improves, as does our relationships, our feelings, and our outlook on all aspects of life.

I have spent many hours reading, watching and listening to positive affirmations, and researching the “Power of I am” I have shared many of these videos and I hope they have helped people. Putting them out into the universe, and experiencing these things myself – I am confident they have, as we are ALL connected.

But what I want to do is add my own list of the things that I feel that I am, and in doing so, they are the things anyone reading this are as well.

  • I am safe
  • I am loved
  • I am beautiful
  • I am grateful
  • I am secure
  • I am protected
  • I am caring
  • I am strong
  • I am wonderful
  • I am powerful
  • I am growing
  • I am learning
  • I am brave
  • I am compassionate
  • I am confident
  • I am blessed
  • I am fortunate
  • I am abundance
  • I am the universe
  • I am nature
  • I am one with everyone
  • I am understanding
  • I am source
  • I am energy
  • I am deserving
  • I am blissful
  • I am life
  • I am divine
  • I am god
  • I am happy
  • I am fun
  • I am wise
  • I am positive
  • I am determined
  • I am upbeat
  • I am persistent
  • I am motivated
  • I am truth
  • I am who I am

Make your own list of whatyou are, and add to it whenever you can. Repeat them over and over again, and begin to believe. Your life will forever we better for it. And remember, you deserve it.

Be Happy With What you Have

Be Happy with what you have

Be Happy with what you have

“Be happy with what you have while working for what you want.” – Helen Keller

I always loved reading about Helen Keller, and hearing her wise words. So much gratefulness to come from her story, and her wisdom. I sometimes struggle to hold on to my sanity, and I hate it when I let in the negative thoughts, but when they do start to come in, I turn to the positivity, and begin to look for the affirmations, the meditations, the quotes, the videos, the stories, and the enlightenment with each.

Thank you to all those who share their knowledge, and experience with happiness. We all need a little reminder every now and again.

Be Kind to Everyone

“Be Kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.” – Plato

We have all faced trials and tribulations – no matter how small, or how big. They have had effects on us, but they can all be undone. We are stronger than we were told, and we can let these bad things flow out of us with a single breath. Get them out of your mind, and begin to refocus your energy on all of the blessings and wonderful things you have in your life, so you can live happily.

Learn from Life

18 Oct

Life is one big crazy, fun, scary, wild adventure. Each day I learn something new, and lately I’ve been learning several important lessons. It is sometimes hard to accept, but for the most part I believe in the truth, and if I see it, then it is much easier to accept and incorporate. At a very early age most of us develop patterns and habits. And until they are brought to our attention (like a thinking pattern, or a coping mechanism, our way of dealing, our attitude, the way we react, the way we behave) it is hard to fix. But if we are open to discovering ourselves, and open to accept and correct them, by removing our ego, and letting go of our fear – then it’s not so bad. Change doesn’t have to be difficult, but if it becomes so, it is also alright to slow it down. We can’t expect to change a pattern or habit we’ve had for most of our lives in a single day, a week, or even a year. But being conscious of our problems, and understanding where they come from is a big part of figuring these things out, and discovering a way to resolve them and create new patterns and habits that will help improve our lives.

From simple things, like changing our morning routines, or the ways we deal with stress, or how we think or feel in certain situations; to more difficult things like changing how we feel or react in certain situations – the more we look inward, and analyze what is going on (how they became this way, what causes them, etc.) and then figuring out a way to change them, and make them better

Taking responsibility for ourselves is the best thing we can do, and it’s really the only person we can be responsible for. Others should not control our lives, our feelings, or our actions. Only we can do that. The moment we stop worrying about what everyone else is doing, is the moment we start living our own lives and that is truly living.

Just take the next step

Life is but a sequence of moments, and those moments are all we have. Take them one step at a time, and remember that nothing lasts forever, good or bad. But if we keep taking small steps forward, we will get to wherever it is we wish to be.

Nothing is Permanent

Nothing is Permanent

Remembering this is one of the most important things you can do for yourself. “Nothing is permanent in this wicked world, not even our troubles.” – Charlie Chaplin

Whatever you are feeling, it will pass. Tough times are temporary. Soon the will be in the past, and forgotten. These things make us stronger.
