Be Grateful

Your best weapon against depression, stress, anxiety and all things associated with these elements, is being grateful. Be grateful for the things you have. Repeat them to yourself when you wake up, and before you go to bed. Whenever you are feeling overwhelmed, remember these things. Don’t just say them, believe them.

I am grateful for:

  • I am grateful for my friends
  • I am grateful for my family
  • I am grateful for my girlfriend, the love we share and the relationship we have. For all the smiles and laughs, the hugs and kisses. For all changes and improvements we’re making
  • I am grateful for the roof over my head, the place that I live, the amenities it offers, the bed I sleep in, the computer I write from, my refrigerator and the food it stores for me.
  • I am grateful for my dog, and the excitement she brings to go on walks and play ball
  • I am grateful to have a car – no matter how much it costs me 😉
  • I am grateful for the opportunities that lie before me
  • I am grateful to be able to pursue my dreams
  • I am grateful for the books I have, and all that they teach me
  • I am grateful for my new passion and pursuit of meditation, and all that it has given me
  • I am grateful for my level of awareness
  • I am grateful for my abundance
  • I am grateful for my love and appreciation of nature and the universe
  • I am grateful for the love I have from so many people and animals
  • I am grateful to be alive, in this world, in this galaxy, in this universe
  • I am grateful for all the things that I have, and all that I love

Saying these things, (more importantly believing these things) makes me happy. My troubles disappear. My worries and stress lessened. My head clear and calm.

I truly believe this approach can work for anyone, and I hope that people give it a try. They say that once one person does something, that others around them instantly have the ability to do the same. Maybe it’s already happening…I hope so.

Sit and Breathe

Sit and Breathe

Take 10-30 minutes out of your busy day, and just sit outside and breathe. Feel the wind on your face, the sun on your skin, and put in some headphones and listen to meditation, or just listen to the sounds of nature. It will relax you in a way that nothing else can. Tell yourself all the reasons you are wonderful, and think about all the things you are grateful for. You day will be exponentially better. Much Love.

everyday is fresh

As I continue to learn, listen and read – “Each day is a new beginning”, “Let go of the past”, “each moment is all we have”

The more I search for answers, the more I come to these same simple answers. Except they’re not simple to apply if you have been taught, and trained yourself to do, think, feel, believe otherwise. However you CAN do it. You can wake up each morning and say, “today is going to be a wonderful fucking day!” and you can let go of the past, and you can live in the moment. You CAN do anything you want. It may take some time to reprogram, and unlearn – but be patient with it, take your time, be good to yourself, don’t ask too much of yourself (it’s not a race) – you can do that too.

Experience Gratitude

Experience gratitude in your life. Be thankful for all the gifts in your life, and all the reasons you are appreciative. Think of the people who you are so fortunate to have, and think of yourself and how far you have come. Feel from the love in your heart, and let go of the pain. “Relinquish all regrets, grievances, and resentments. Choose the miracle.” – Deepak Chopra

Have the intention, and go with the choice to forgive, and move from the pain. Choose to be happy, and choose to live a fulfilling life, one dedicated to love, understanding, and positivity.

We are our greatest challenge, and our greatest asset. How we perceive the world ultimately determines how we see it.

See the world for the beauty that it holds, and live a life of gratefulness, peace, and happiness.

Gratitude is a Shortcut

Gratitude truly is one of the sweet shortcuts to finding peace and happiness within yourself. By being grateful for what we do have, we disallow ourselves to look at the things we don’t. Life is too short to worry about the things we don’t have – enjoy the beautiful things in life…the smiles, the birds, the clouds, the breeze..

There is a beautiful side to everything, and there are many blessings that need not be ignored. Cherish your friends, your family, and whatever makes you smile. Focus on that, and the smiles will continue 😀

It isn’t what we talk about, it is what we do that matter’s in this world. Believe in yourself, know that you can do anything, and give the world your best shot.

You’ve heard it your whole life, “everything happens for a reason.” It’s true. Each day we learn, and each day we grow. Everything that has happened in our lives has brought us to this point. It has shaped us and made us who we are – and it has got us to this point right now, to succeed, and to be happy.
